Job Description :
- Responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases in development, test, staging and production environments.
- Provide Operational support and manage backend support.
- Support in Production code movements, Databases and Middleware services management.
- Releasing and patch updating in production environment
- Identifying and fixing potential issues in the database on a proactive basis
- Performance tuning of Oracle databases
- Provide recommendations for optimal database configuration and upgrades
- Ensuring high level performance and smooth operation of the databases
- Work with clients and other stakeholders to effectively fix issues and ensure high availability of the system
Desired Candidate Profile
- Very good knowledge in Oracle 11g and 12c
- Expert level understanding of Oracle database architecture
- Should have experience & ability to work with various teams to resolve performance issues (development, storage administrators, network administrators, system administrators and business users
- Specialized in Oracle RAC, good understanding of complexity of RAC Architecture across Servers, OS, network, storage layer.
- Should have SQL tuning skill and experience at refactoring sql queries to improve performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, should be able to transverse across infrastructure layer to diagnosis issues.
- Expert at HA features of Oracle database.
- Complete understanding of Oracle database’s backup recovery options.
- Knowledge in various security aspects of DB including the table level encryption methodologies.
- Resource with experience in security implementation preferred
- Excellent knowledge on Linux
- Oracle Database cloning
- Oracle Data guard exposure
- RAC exposure
- Database backups through Enterprise manager(OEM)
- Monitoring and analysis using OEM
